Anonymous: Changes to a long-running character don't usually seem to stick in the minds of the majority of people who don't read comics (so most people know certain versions of Superman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, and so on regardless of the status quo in the comics), but are there any changes that have become as iconic as the status quos they replaced? I'm thinking maybe Mary Jane as Spider-Man's love interest, and probably Bucky being alive - anything else?

That tends to depend on what the depictions in other media are, I think. So certainly the X-Men being Storm and Wolverine and et cetera rather than Iceman and Beast and Angel.

And Batman’s nipples, of course.
